Playing with yarns under the influence of Pantone Fashion Color Report Fall 2012

At Vogue Knitting Live we received cute cards from Pantone & VK with a color selection for Spring 2012. I’ve loved the card and even more the colors! However, at that moment, I didn’t research about what was going on between Pantone, VK and this color list. This event is always so fantastic, there’s so much happening at the same time that we can’t afford to miss a thing!

But as a curious knitter and marketing person, I already had registered in my “mind files”: pantone/colors/fashion! And as I was browsing on the net, reading fashion magazines and observing fashion store’s windows, there was something here and there about Pantone and Fashion Colors!

***There’s an lovely fashion store in Brazil called “Farm” and they created a collection called “Farm heart Pantone. You can take a look at the video here. It’s cute! My fave are the Havaianas flip flops!)

At the Pantone website I found the explanation about Pantone Fashion Home and I like the idea of so many amazing fashion designers (like Nanette Lepore, Hervé Léger, the amazing Betsey Johnson and many others!) and a fantastic group of fashion influencers (how cool is this group of people!) have researched and came up with a list of trendy colors for the Fashion Seasons.

Personally I’m not a super fashion follower. But I like the Pantone’s idea of finding new ways to share that bunch of great colors (as I recall, Pantone catalogues was something specific for designers) and for that, they invited skilled people with different styles. I really like it!

Here is the Patone Fashion Color Report Fall 2012 for women’s:
